Well yesterday was the 1 week check up and Mary is well on her way to recovery 🙂 They took her drain tube out and that silly little jacket. Shes done with her pills which is nice cause we were running out of food ideas to hide them in. Once she found the pills in the food it was all over! Her recovery seems like it was too fast… i know if they took my arm, I wouldnt be off my meds and back to my normal routine in a week!!!!! She made it all the way to the corner yesterday. We are trying to build her up to around the block. ( its a small block not even a quarter mile) She is still a few pounds over weight so we are gonna slim her down a little bit more. Sorry the new photos took so long, things have been hectic with everything going on. We have an appt with an oncologist next monday after Marys staples come out… We are looking into chemotherapy. If anyone has anything they know or would like to share about that we would greatly appreciate it 🙂

wow, sounds like mary is doing great!! we did five rounds of chemo. some do, some don’t. we had a soft tissue sarcoma, other types of cancer might suggest a different regiment of treatments. we suggest you get all the info you can, and then make the decision based on what’s really best for mary. if she doesn’t tolerate it well, you can always stop. there are alot of chemo stories and info on the forums…once you find out what is recommended, you can search for info on the type…good luck!

Max did six rounds of carboplatin; he did really well the first 4, then had mild nausea and diarrhea on 5 & 6. He would be tired for about 24 – 36 hours, then back to normal.
Hey max have been trying to respond to you for the past week on your shutter fly acct… I hope you get a chance to read this, when I log on with my acct it won’t post it just takes me to my home… Thank you for reading and we are reading your post’s and just adore that handsome beast 😉 we appreciate the treatment specs, we are just trying to do the best we can with her and it’s hard to find good advice.
