Things were going well for Mary, she had a few good months. I am thankful for that. Three weeks ago she developed a tumor on her amputation site and we had it removed. The second surgery seemed to knock the wind out of her sails. Mary Passed away peacefully on Friday November 25th. We are lost without her. I will write an official post soon with lots of videos and pics when I can stomach it. We would like to thank all the tripawds members who helped us adjust to life on three legs and who supported us through this difficult time. Thank you all.

Oh no, I’m so sorry to hear that your beautiful girl gained her wings!
I hope you have some peace in knowing that you did everything you could for her – and it was all done out of love. I’m sure she knew how loved she was. She will always be with you in your heart.
It might help you to write more about her and we’ll look forward to hearing about your special girl and seeing pictures.

Sorry to hear you didn’t get more time with Mary. But she passed peacefully and on her own terms, and that’s at least one less thing to feel bad about. Like Abby’s mom said, sometimes it can be very cathartic to write about your special friend. And know that, whenever you are ready to tell more of Mary’s story, we will be here to listen.
