  1. mary, you are a star!!! such a wonderful video (we wonder, could they have parked any farther away from the vet office?? geesh, you really had a trek…). you are doing so well getting up and about, and in and out. keep up the good work, and don’t forget to keep taking medicinal naps to aid in healing!!

    1. Lol… It was a 45 min to the vet and she had to do her business… There was a nice piece of real-estate out yonder!!! Plus we weren’t in a huge hurry to drop her off 😉 I started the video after the big deposit. But that made us all laugh. Thinking about it now it was a little on the far end of the lot!!! Thank you so much for following her progress 😉 you all give us so much hope and inspiration everyday.

Love Mary the big red dog

  2. She’s looking great! I remember some of that, especially the hard work that it was. Having to pause and pant, pause and pant. But that gets better, and she’s certainly amazing, isn’t she? And her limp was really obvious, so you know you got rid of the pain. That’s what matters to Mary.

    1. Whew… Thats a relief we were wondering about that… She is trying Sooooo hard… She’s barely even stumbled ( only when she’s getting into her bed) I was expecting the exhaustion, but we were struggling with the decision to amputate because of her age. Thank you for your ins-paw-rational words, they really are comforting 😉

Love Mary The big red dog 😉

  3. Mary is simply precious. And in some ways very very lucky. After all, it’s obvious how much she is loved. I remember how amazed I was when my 150lb boy Fortis got up and wanted to go outside only two hours after his surgery. Dogs are amazing and us humans can only pretend! I’m so glad your Mary’s surgery was a success. I look forward to hearing all about her life on 3. Wishing you all the best.

My Indiana also had his front left limb removed and he got up right after surgery to do his business & everyone at the hospital was in awe with him. Our tripawds adjust so well – they are amazing – Mary is amazing!! May you have many , many wonderful moments with her!! I was blessed to have had my Indy for 17 months after being diagnosed ~ such a miracle he was!! Take pictures and more videos & embrace her with everything you have! Love her like there is no tomorrow!!!
    Love from Indian’s mom ~ Carol~~

  5. Mary, you are awesome! You are making a remarkable recovery and REALLY getting around well. Your video will give a lot of hope to families that are contemplating amputation as well as people whose dog has just undergone the surgery.

  6. Mary, wishing you well during your recovery! I can’t wait to read about your adventures on three legs! Be warned: many, many people will want to pet and love on you, and you’ll probably be getting a lot of extra treats also! No one can resist a Tripawd, especially one as pretty as you!

    1. Thank you 😉 we are gonna give her Lots of healthy treats boiled chicken and carrots… Mary loves carrots 😉 we want to get some weight off of her to help her get around a little easier, but not untill she is fully recovered 😉 we loved seeing your pictures, especially the ones from the road trip. Our favorite is the shot of him on the beach from a low angle! What a stud!
